If Index used by SNMP (linkDown Trap)
Question:
I receive this trap in my trap receiver:

SWITCHNAME
- Cisco Agent Interface Down (linkDown Trap) on interface
id
;nr .1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.5.3.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.283 0
How can I figure out which interface sends this trap?
Answer:
In your switch
you can use the following command to find out which interface has which index:
sh snmp mib ifmib ifindex
